Patient feedback is very important to us. Here are some of our recent patients' comments:
"I wanted to personally say thank you to you for everything over the last three years. Your care, support, friendship and professionalism has been quite amazing and has allowed me and my family to get through this period and come out the other side. I will be forever thankful and will never forget all the amazing people at CCL and Parkside who have looked after me so well."
"Having recently completed a course of radiotherapy at the Cancer Centre London, I have no hesitation in recommending it to anybody needing treatment for cancer. The staff were all excellent. They were very efficient and professional, making me feel confident in my treatment but they were also warm, friendly and very helpful at all times.
Patients at the centre are all offered complementary therapy sessions included in their treatment which is a lovely gesture and the therapy room is a little oasis of calm which is very welcome with all the anxiety and stress associated with cancer treatment. I am very grateful to them for all their kindness and excellent care during my radiotherapy."
“On discovering I had breast cancer I felt bewildered. Driving into the Cancer Centre on the first day made me anxious, nervous and a little panic stricken. From the moment of check in with the front desk receptionists those fears were very quickly allayed. Five weeks of radiotherapy for a person (me!) who is rarely sick was not something I took very lightly. The initial visit was professional, all aspects of the treatment were well explained, my questions answered and suddenly all the anxiety was overcome. The radiotherapy team were, without exception, professional, gentle, good humoured and very accommodating with any questions/quibbles that I had. Being able to park at the hospital and being given times for treatment convenient to me meant that I was able to carry on working and life continued as normal.”
"I was keen to get the best treatment available, and the Cancer Centre London at Parkside, Wimbledon seemed a natural choice. It was easily accessible from where I lived, specialised in my type of cancer and had some of the most up to date equipment."
"It was a daunting process at the start, but the staff at CCL made it so much easier with their welcoming smiles and encouraging words. Everyone was so professional and kind. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes before the start of treatment and all the advice given was vital and spot on. Thank you all for making a difficult time more bearable."
"The Cancer Centre London is ideally situated opposite Wimbledon common. Although it is located in London, traffic congestion is not an issue, and there are plenty of parking places on site. The staff are very friendly, positive and accommodating. Not only do they treat your physical condition, but their upbeat attitude is contagious, and goes a long way to contribute to your own sense of well being, which is key. The attitude from top down is "can do", and although you are assigned a specific member of staff during chemotherapy sessions, another member of staff will readily step into the breach if you need something, and your assigned nurse is busy elsewhere. Perhaps suffering from cancer or any other illness which has the potential to be terminal is the worst thing that can ever happen to an individual. Good care and support is of paramount importance, and I cannot over emphasise how well this is provided at Cancer Centre London."
"The thought of having 20 times of radiotherapy had been daunting to me. However, it was made easy by all the staff at Cancer Centre London. The receptionists were always friendly and tried to fit me in the time to work around my busy schedule. The team of radiotherapy staff were always welcoming and sympathetic. They always gave me advice and answers to my questions. Their professionalism made me feel that I was in very good hands throughout. My whole experience at Cancer Centre was very pleasant indeed."
