Coming to Cancer Centre London
At Cancer Centre London we pride ourselves on giving you a warm, personal welcome to our comfortable surroundings. We know that undergoing treatment for cancer can be difficult and scary, so we do our best to make you feel at home and well cared for at all times. Our waiting areas are stocked with newspapers and magazines, as well as complimentary fresh coffee, teas and biscuits. If you’re going to be at the Centre for several hours, if you’re undergoing outpatient treatment for example, we are happy to offer you a light lunch or a snack, as well as access to our WiFi network.
Following your referral to Cancer Centre London, an appointment will be booked with one of our specialist Consultants, to discuss treatment options. Our reception staff will coordinate your appointments at CCL and at Parkside Hospital by liaising with the consultants, to ensure that your treatment progresses smoothly without delay.
For patients requiring either an overnight or extended stay in hospital during their cancer treatment, there is a dedicated inpatient oncology ward at neighbouring Parkside Hospital, which is only a few doors down from CCL. The oncology ward at Parkside provides continuity of care for all oncology patients, as well as access to a multitude of highly qualified, specialist consultants.
These consultants offer a wide variety of treatment options and services for cancer patients, including stem cell and bone marrow transplants and inpatient chemotherapy infusions. Our Breast Care Nurses also offer support at Parkside Hospital, and for patients experiencing lymphoedema during treatment for breast cancer, the Clinical Nurse Specialists will be on hand to offer Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) when required.
